it was all I heard last year when I didnt like red's roster construction in the frontcourt - esp the size of the players.

Very true. While William Kyle could leap out of the gym, there were lots of people on here that were nervous for when it was time to go up against big boy/big bodied competition! And that turned out to be true, as he was invisible for some of our ACC games, and due to his FT shooting, was sometimes unplayable.

theres never going to be an era of: no, I dont want a 7ft+ center...i'd rather a 6'9 or 6'8 please!

wake me up when duke, uconn, north carolina, michigan, kentucky, alabama, etc all these top schools go small at center out of preference

i thought there were lots of people who werent nervous at all and loved what he provided, calling him the best player on the team

if an average team has 70 possessions per game and a player blocks 2 shots in a game (and no guarantee that those 2 blocks actually lead to change of possession mind you) that means the player is blocking about 2-3% of possessions in a game...the other 97% matters much much more

UConn starters were 6’11”, 6’8”, 6’6”
Arizona starters were 7’2”, 6’8”, 6’7”
Michigan was huge at 7’3”, 6’9”, 6’9”

Duke started 6’9”, 6’9”, 6’8”

We might end up with a starting front court going 7’0”, 6’9, 6’5”.

The best teams aren’t as huge as some make them out to be. We have size on our roster. And we have big guards. It would be great to have a polished 7’3” center, but it is not a requirement. You can win 25-30 games without one.
