Villanova on Aug 30 (That's Labor Day weekend)
September 6 is either a bye or an ACC game
September 13 is at Central Michigan
September 20 is Maryland
September 27 is Notre Dame at MetLife
I suggest you elope.
Last year it was released on February 25th. So I would guess around that time this year for 2014. Our game Labor Day Weekend will be against Villanova in the Dome on August 30th.The Fiancee is trying to pin down dates Labor Day Weekend or later in September...What is she thinking trying to do this during Football Season?!!!
Just because you pick a lower profile weekend for Syracuse ('Nova or CMU) doesn't mean that it'll go over well with some of your guests who support other schools.
You really should've heeded the advice found here... only marry a sports fan, and no, horseback riding doesn't count. I know I won't have this issue when the time is right.
Any weekend after the Final Four and before the football season kicks off would be a much safer date.
For the record...when Labor Day wknd was just brought up, I politely voiced some concern about it conflicting with SU and said...but the Wedding is more important obviously -- here was her reply:
"Haha RIGHHHHT… I know who I am marrying so NEVER will I want to interfere with Syracuse sports!!
Or Dallas Cowboys… or Phish shows. J"
I think I've got a winner (she also went to all but one Football game with me last year and has gone to every BBall game with me so far this year).
Phew.
And just for clarity, all football weekends are holiday weekends.Weddings are fun but don't mess with holiday weekends!
cpatrocks: you need to tell your fiancee your Syracusefan.com advisory board think it is a bad idea to have a wedding from Labor Day Weekend till about Jan 7th.
