Game day is FINALLY here! Here are the things I want to see out of today's match-up with Colgate:

  • The Offensive Line dominate at the point of attack, and push Colgate around.

  • Garret Shrader have one of those 21-24 type of passing days, getting guys behind OG lots of catches to get them established.

  • The team execute well enough to score on their first 5 or 6 possessions of the first half, turning this into a fun romp.

  • No starters playing in the second half.

  • Carlos Del-Rio Wilson to get the majority of snaps in the 2nd half, and look sharp.

  • Price [or Hawkins or Branham] performing well in place of Allen, to help solidify the RB rotation.

  • TONS of defensive substitutions across all three positional units.

  • Strong play from the secondary, demonstrating that there won't be a significant drop-off despite offseason personnel losses.

  • Special teams quality -- great coverage on kick / punt returns, and markedly improved punting.

  • 3 forced turnovers, minimum, to set the tone for how the D is going to perform this year.

  • And most importantly, NO INJURIES!!!

Let's Go Orange!!!

That would be a perfect day. Go Cuse!

I want to see some massive overreactions on the board
Maybe we will get 3-4 candidates for hot take of the year
At a minimum 2-3 WHAT IS DINO DOING post
Don't you DARE be too positive it's only game one
I want to see this board clicking on all cylinders today!!!

Clear eyes, full hears can't lose!!
LGO

I want to see that when the change is made in the oline we still move the ball a little bit and score.

Absolutely agree with all.

#1 though is OL for me. I remember vs Holy Cross in 2019 we couldnt get a push for the run game (or protect Tommy who was injured). That was a bad harbinger for the rest of that year.

I am expecting the opposite today with huge holes for 3-4 different backs to get chunk plays and very few 3rd downs.

Really hope to see CDRW and Braden Davis both get snaps and passes, not handoffs.

Want 8 or 9 guys with a catch

Want 5-6 guys with multiple carries

Want to see zero turnovers while forcing +2

Want to see steady rotation of guys coming in on D to keep guys fresh and healthy

Come out and dominate. Wagner like

As I watch Colorado play very sound fundamental football with a practically brand new team and brand new staff…

How about we not see any sideline fire drills today. No delays of game, no false starts, no rock head stuff from either the players or staff.

Let the OC and DC run the show and Dino just be the CEO.
