I need help settling an argument. A buddy thinks Holy Cross got paid as little as $30,000 for Saturday’s game in the Dome (I mean Stadium)

This article (3-years old) implies otherwise. Anyone have any facts about what we paid Holy Cross?

I have no clue what we paid them but I don’t believe it would be that low.

The article explains why Rutgers got the B1G invite. Built in wins for 8-9 teams. Throw in NYC cable money and it barely shows on the bottom line. All while pretending they only play FBS teams.

I think it falls somewhere between $250,000 or half a million. $30,000 wouldn't have even covered their costs when you factor transport, room, food, etc.

Didn't Liberty pay us this years? What did we get?
Liberty was reported to have paid ODU $1.32 million to play them at Liberty in 2018.

Holy Cross wouldn't travel for $30K. They would have lost money. On the low end, they got $200k.

This is probably close to it. Most guarantee games for P5 schools are in the $1-2 million range. HC, because its D-1AA and close by so its expenses are lower, likely got less than $500K.
