Home from Storrs (and alive)....

When I read these posts, it makes me think of a few things. First, people like you are the reason why we have the best away record in the BE history, we travel so well in the NE. It is noticed by fans watching on tv, recruits, players, etc...thanks. I also wonder if that all goes away with our move. All those games right around NYC now will be gone. Sure, we'll have pockets of fans in the DC area but less seats to be filled and fewer games available. Also, I wonder if there is a next generation of those like yourself that will take over the reins and show the support you've shown for the last 20-30 years.
This has been discussed in threads after the NC State game. With all of us Syracuse fans who have moved to anywhere from Maryland to Florida, there will likely be a higher percentage of SU fans at ACC games than are now attending Big East games. Much of the ACC is clustered in a relatively small area making for easy travel. Duke and NC maybe tough tickets but the rest will be heavily attended by Orange faithful.

The bball rivalry with UCONN is much more hostile than the football rivalry.

I may have heard one friendly jab remark out of all the times i've been to the Rent and everybody'S cool at the tailgates. They have a very friendly football fanbase and I will miss going there even though we never win.

Still....

UCONN U SUCK!

Trust me, I don't like/write those kinds of posts. Unfortunately, we have losers on both boards.

FYI, my brother and I stopped by your tailgate at Rentschler this past season. He is an SU undergrad and law school graduate. Looking forward to the SU tailgate in Minneapolis next year as my wife and I live there.

I remember...Bill, right? Anyways most of the problems involve alcohol...and the UConn students had all day to get liquored up and flex their "beer muscles". Fortune for me I usually don't get bothered too much. BTW, you guys are welcomed to tailgate with us this Fall.
