If the state allows ticket sales...I wonder if SU just charges something like $40 per ticket across the board?

IMHO letting in 8-10K fans and keeping the first few rows empty will keep the risk level acceptable.

Until the Quarantine is lifted into NY I can't attend but I'm hoping by early/mid September from Florida
(It looks like new cases rolling average is trending to meet the requirements within 7-14 days)

Daily deaths seem to be settling back to the pre spike levels (gotta recheck in 3-4 days to confirm)

New cases also have had a huge slide back over the last 5-6 weeks

My guess is that they will charge in the range of 75 per ticket. With a very limited number of tickets to sell simple laws of supply and demand will drive the price up.

This is cheap compared to Georgia and other SEC schools that are charging 150-200 per.

The people who want to go aren't going to be torn up over 40 vs 75. Different than deciding 75 vs 150.

Crowds will be half of what they would have been (actually attendance not sales) no covid for a game like Liberty.

Secondary ticketing might be an issue they are going to want your SSN and mothers maiden name in the spirit of contact tracing and how dare you expect a cardboard ticket that can carry covid etc etc wouldn't be shocked if all sales are final and there is no way to resell/return a ticket if you buy it and can't go. Which will suck for folks at the end of the line if STs buy them all. You might get people with no intention of going buying tickets as donations to support the program and no show.

On 2nd thought you are probably correct. They will probably charge closer to $75 if given the chance to sell tickets

depends where the ticket pods are located. 75 a piece in 200 or 300 level seems high, maybe 40 in 200 and 300 level then 75 in lowel level?

The bills have no fans it’s a pipe dream for us to have fans .

All you had to do was redshirt Allen for a year in favor of Cam Newton and you'd be favs for the Lombardi...

I'm looking at that GT/Bills Pats double double.

I basically live in Salem MA the Halloween capital of the planet. Its awesome...unless it falls on a Saturday and then its nuts to butts not even in the bars just walking in the town itself is so stupid and crazy busy when it falls on a Sat you need it to be any other day of the week and its great (Nov 1 was a holiday at my last job too working for Germans.)

But yeah this year is no go at home for Halloween with the Saturday and covid rules combining hell no. Good weekend to go to upstate NY!!!!!!

I agree if the state will not allow the Bills to have 15k in an open air stadium then no way will they let SU have that many in the dome...just not going to happen

Are places like Tully’s open up there ? Will there be bar atmosphere game days up there ?

The Tully’s locations are open but seating is limited. They can’t go at 100% capacity. Not sure what the limit is, but there definitely is a limit. Last I knew, the most people they would seat together was 10.

I assume the press room is the same
At least hometown fans could somewhat gather to root together ifvthe no fans ban continues

Would be shocked if there are fans at football games in 2020.

Hard Rock Stadium announced on Monday for the Hurricanes and Dolphins they are letting in 13,000 fans and when you see all of the rules it sounds like nobody will want to go...lol. I think most people would want to stay at home, at least I would.

-Must wear a mask at all times inside the stadium.
-Can only enter the stadium at your specific gate at a specific time (no showing up early or late)
-No Paper Tickets
-Any purchases outside the stadium and inside the stadium must be made on a card (no cash accepted)
-When its time to exit the stadium you must wait for the usher to tell you when its your turn to leave and you must exit through a specific gate
-No Tailgating prior to the game around the stadium
-They have re-vamped every bathroom in every way possible. No paper towels to dry your hands (not a huge deal I know)
-If you make the cut to go to the game you won't have your season ticket seats, essentially you sit where there is an opening and where they tell you. It's "cluster seating" so it will be you and 1 other person who you go with in your seats and all the seats around you will be tarped off.
-If you remove your mask for a moment to cheer, yell or boo, its an automatic ejection from the stadium

I mean all the stuff makes sense and it is needed during these times. But it sounds like going to the game is more of a hassle than it's worth especially when most people have big-screen TVs and can just sit at home in peace and watch the game there.

Yeah, just bought a projector to watch the games on in the basement

maybe I’ll get really lucky and we will have a night game and it’ll be warm out and I can sit outside and watch it.

Either way, I’ll be tailgating hard at my house. At least it’s something to look forward too

How do you drink water Miami?

They didn't think that through

unsure what your asking but the rule states you can take your mask off to eat or drink in your seat. But once done eating the mask must be on at all times

One has to wonder what the long term effect will be on all sports. With new advanced technology watching the games from your living room is looking more and more attractive. Just look at last year both college and pro football games were experiencing a big drop off in actual attendance.

For the price of taking in a game or 2 with a family one can invest in a nice tv and enjoy the game on your couch eating wings and pizza.

That's been the case for awhile. People still want to be a part of the experience, if the experience is worth it.

That's why theses new stadiums have turned into mini-shopping malls and food courts. They need stuff to attract people to the venue. And that's why they put a make-shift amusement park outside the stadium now for kids to do stuff at most of the NFL stadiums. People won't go "just for a football game" anymore. You need to entice them with the bells and whistles

too extent some for sure. Which will be sad to see

but diehards like me won’t be able to trade in the experience we get at home for the experience we get at the stadium...I truly am devastated by this season.

Im also going to miss gathering in the fine lot with everyone and catching up, somethings you just can’t get at home.
