I didnt see much fuss about the fact that it really should have been a one hitter based on the play the first basemen made to throw out the runner at third.. I saw ESPN highlight the play but ignore the fact by scoring rules its a hit and a put out..

I think that play qualifies as a fielder's choice.

they ruled it a fielders choice.. but by the scorers rule book it cant be. he made a play on the runner realized he couldnt be put out and then threw out the runner going to 3rd. that makes it a hit and then a put out. the runner was not going to 3rd until after he saw them fail to make a play at first
