We're 0-2. There are no moral victories.

But I'm wondering what people would consider a successful season at this point. Is it a specific win total? Is it a BE championship?

For me, it is getting to a bowl game--by hook or by crook. Whatever it takes. Would like to see us win 7 or 8 just to get to those win totals, but honestly I am thinking that as long as we get to a bowl this season will be a success.

So where's the question?

8-4 with another Pinstripe bowl game in NY to continue to cater to our recruits and their families.

It's always been a bowl game for me. I'd like to get to a bowl game and see Marrone rewarded with a contract extension. The next 5 games are critical for this program.

that I want a BCS bowl.

**** that I want a BCS bowl.

Damn straight. I think Syracuse is fully capable of winning every game in the Big East and the two M-State Roadies

Was thinking about this earlier today, well before the game. I'm thinking at least 8-5 with Bowl Game win, putting us at an even 25-25 in the Marrone era with two bowl victories and the program positioned to go to the next level as we admittedly step up the level of competition in the new ACC era.

That means minimum 7-3 down the stretch. Stony Brook, Minnesota, UConn, Rutgers, Temple and Pitt have to be wins. That leaves USF, Louisville, Cincy and Mizzou as the swing games. Need at least one of those four, plus a bowl win. Anything better than that is gravy.

Getting to a bowl would be success this year.

What I would love to see is SU playing Lville for the BEC.

Obviously, winning the conference is the ultimate goal, but I would he happy with any Bowl game. If you are not in BCS, does it really matter whig one? Preferably against a "name opponent".

6 wins and a bowl game.

The bar is set really really LOW in Syracuse for Doug. If he can't meet that then well, time to look around!

Have to agree.
