11 of the 14 races today have eight or more entries today, so it should overall be a competitive card. Yes, it is sad that there are only five entries in the Travers, but what can you do when trainers/owners don't want to ship from the West Coast.

Absolutely. And someone who experienced the very highs and very lows of the sport at a very young age.

Irad did a tremendous job as did Zayas and Prat. If you watch the head on replay and/or some of the pics, Irad tried hoping on White Abbario. But it was a very ugly race considering the stakes

The stewards probably should have declared it a 'no contest' and stopped the race so Irad could have been attended to properly by the EMTs and not hastily removed from the track before his condition could be fully assessed. Fortunately, he is okay and has been cleared to ride tomorrow. NYRA and all involved could have been looking at massive lawsuits if Irad's injuries were serious.

I think Irad kept the jock on Abbario on his horse as he was teetering too. Secondary to Irad's safety - Sierra Leone wins that race if Plat doesn't have to worry about killing Irad.

Ridiculous move by Kendrick, I get you want to clear and move over but the space has to be there. Thought I read where he only got something like 3-5 days. Seems crazy. Ruined what could have been a great race
