I haven’t seen it explained. But the way I process it.

they pushed the play in games back so everyone could fly into Indy, quarantine and get tested multiple times before practicing. I think I saw Syracuse was stuck in there rooms until Wednesday before they could practice. Which meant they had to push the play in games to Thursday which then pushed the entire first weekend back.

my only guess for the reason of waiting from Sunday -Saturday for the sweet sixteen is that it is 6 days. Easier to see any positive tests or spread of disease from this weekend.

but then that thought backfires because the final four is still on a Saturday which is only 5 days from Monday and 4 from Tuesday’s elite eight games.

bottom line, it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me.

How does Cuse not get the marquee time slot? I guess nobody would watch the other 3 games at 10pm. I don’t see how oral Roberts vs Arkansas is the game you want prime time though. That should be the 2.40 when ppl are out getting chores done.

Dont mind the late start. Getting vaccinated saturday around dinner time so this is a good draw
