How about Rexs "loyalty" shots at Marrone

Seems pretty dumb to think that wouldn't be a very possible reaction.
francesa just brought it up too.

bye doug.

It's pretty simple: Doug opted out thinking he had the Jets job, and he likely did have it if there wasn't the avalanche of bile that came out. Not saying he doesn't deserve that bile, but that's what happened. He has his $4 mil so he can sit back and let things quiet down, but not sure when he will get an NFL HC gig again, could be a while.

And the delicious irony is that Marrone left Buffalo because (supposedly) he didn't have confidence in the new ownership and front office... but then potentially wasn't hired because the clownshoes owner of the Jets got spooked when he read stuff in the Daily News. That just screams ownership and front office competence, right?

Rex was a decent defensive coordinator. But I think people are giving him a little too much credit. Since the Ravens won the Super Bowl in 2000 the Ravens have had 3 losing seasons, Rex was the D-coordinator for 2 of those seasons. He was not the coordinator for either Super Bowl win. He did not build the Ravens defense of the 2000's. He certainly helped but Marvin Lewis built that defense and then Mike Nolan and Rex maintained it. I liek Rex because he's entertaining and I think I'd enjoy sitting down and drinking a beer with him.

I would rather see Rex and Rob go toe to toe in a steel cage death match ... then I'll have a beer with the winner.

Rex is overrated and living off his Daddy's reputation. Great at press conferences and sucking up to fans, not so hot at wins on the field. Oh and he ruined Sanchez and Geno, too. Perfect fit for the Bills-

True enough except for leaving $20 million in cap money on the table.
They tried to spend the $ none of their targeted FA's wanted to come play for this guy. So much for being a player's coach-

Blaming him for ruining Geno is like someone, cleaning up vomit from the side walk and being scolded for ruining art.

Maybe, but then by that logic St. Doug gets a pass on Manuel and the offensive line.

Dung Marrone now has his dream job. Doing nothing and getting fatter. All is well in the world.

nah, punting must be involved
