Three ACC teams in the top-6, Big East only has 1 in the top-6 or the top-10 for that matter.

Villanova is garbage, St. John's lost to Detroit Mercy, and Georgetown barely got past friggin' Howard, not to mention the crap at Providence, Seton Hall, DePaul, and the rest of the mouthbreathers.

Good you are counting SU as ACC ... (see other thread) ...isn't UConn back up to 10? That makes 2 BE teams in T10 and 3 ACC teams in T6

and speaking of crap don't forget: Cincy (behavior), Rutgers, USF, and ND ... plus Villanova having down year ... that leaves about 5/16 competitive teams in the BE.. oops 3/16 ... forgot, SU and Pitt in ACC

i am confused? what 3 ACC teams are in the top 6 and the BE has 4 in the top 11 ?

Syracuse, Duke, and UNC. Big East only has 1 in the top-10 - Louisville. UConn is #11 in the AP.

The Big East sucks.

No,no ACC = #6 Duke, #5 NC and #1 SU
BE = #4 L'ville and #10 UConn and #? Marquette

I'll go stricly by AP poll:
ACC = #7 Duke, #5 NC, and #1 SU
BE = #4 L'ville, #10 UConn, and #11 marquette

they are not doing to bad and have a pretty good schedule

I do agree with that ... and I do love Huggy Bear ... there I edited that out ... b/c WVU is Big 12

One of the underrated aspects of this whole transfer situation is what we can now bash the ACC and the Big East. No one is safe!

um, West Virginia is in the Big 12...

I find only three ACC teams in the top ten about right.
The Bias factor, this early in the season, should have every ACC team with a winning record in the Top 25.

The top is as strong as it's ever been, but it seems like the gap between the lowest-ranked among the top 25 (GTown) and the best unranked BE team is wider than usual.

dude really needs to pull his head out of his ### and look at a schedule. we're big east. best BB conference.
By his reasoning we only have one conference game this season - Sat against NC State.
Also an 18 game non-conference schedule against a bunch of teams from a sucky Big East conference.
Gonna be tough to win a conference championship in either conference.

The best two teams are SU and UL. Then there's a small drop off to, Pitt, UConn, and Marquette. Then there's a huge drop off. The Big East is overrated.

so you don't think they are the second best conference? who is better? the SEC?

I'd say as of right now.

The Big East isn't as good as it was the past few years.

Its funny the BE is having an admittadly down year and yet it has the # ranked team SU plus Lville, Uconn, Marq, Pitt and Gtown ranked.

Team for team what convference has 4 beter teams than the BE's top 4? What conference has a beter 5th and 6th team than Pitt and Gtown? Take your pick of who you think is 7th and 8th in the BE and match them with other conferences 7th and 8th best teams . . . . . . . .

When other conferences have complained about the # of teams in the BE in the past it was often a cop-out because our 8th best team was still better than their 5th best team. But when you start comparing our 7th vs their 7th it becomes a legitimate gripe. You need to prorate the standings to be fair imo.

Not everyone. There are a lot of Big East fans who are championing the Big East as the greatest conference ever.
