Not every player is the same of course, but their DC Tony White left. It's possible someone like Duce wants to go and play for his DC in Nebraska. It's also possible they leave and find NIL money elsewhere. It's never just black and white. There are so many factors that can force a kid to jump in the portal

I think you're right, Duce was our highest rated recruit in years. Schools tried to flip him after he committed to SYR. He said he never wavered on his commitment despite the overtures. 2 years later and there is NIL $ involved. That changes everything and why wouldn’t someone grab the $. NIL puts a completely different perspective on everything.
