Nix put on the 15 day DL is a bit of a joke. He is done for the season. Hands are far more complicated and slow healing than an arm or leg fracture.This is just one of the worse "bad luck seasons ever for the Yankees and of course the fans. At least we have Soriano back in the pinstripes. The big dividends might have to wait until next season. The negative side is that it goes to kill opportunity for a kid like Zoilo Almonte.

They can always transfer him to the 60 Day DL if they need to free up a spot on the 40 man roster for a call-up.
