They have a huge line and an excellent RB. Better RB than any that ND had today. Pitt has a better QB as well, albeit a low bar to what ND has. They are simply going to gameplan to run Abanikanda 30+ times. Not a good matchup, obviously.

Syracuse is going to need to score at least 30. Whether it’s GS at 75% or CDRW, not sure we have enough.

GS at 75% is an automatic L. Unless he’s close to 90-95% then we need CD-RW to grow up fast and for Anae to tailor the game plan to his strengths. Designed runs, option reads.

I’m not for sure their quarterback is better. Our blitz packages could get in his head. NC has put up 42 with five minutes left.

Their D isn’t great. They give up a lot of points. Should be a pretty even deal

Feels like the line might open at Pitt -7. Perception is we’re beat up and limping to the finish line with major questions at QB.

Pitt and FSU are not good matchups for us, they both run the ball quite well. These last two weeks were the first two teams we faced who really run well and we got smacked by it. Don’t know what we can do to improve the run D but gotta try and come up with something. I would have taken 7-5 before the season with a big smile. That would be quite disappointing now, hopefully we figure something out

Its a tough matchup but I don't think a great team overall. Should be a close game.

Got to let CDRW sling it. I assume they will keep Tucker in check. No clue why Allen has been completely removed and doesn't get a carry here or there.

Save Shrader for FSU because he played well against them and should have won in Tallahassee last year. That might have been his best game for us.

Agree. Pitt is just ok but we will need to score and with gimpy Shrader that isn’t happening.

I want to know how Pitt is going to stay with us. They're 4 and 4. They struggle moving the ball, and they aren't all that good defensively.

Give CD-RW a good prep week and we'll come out firing. That'll open things up for Tucker. In White and Jones we trust on defense.

We're panther hunting.

Anyone going to the game? I will be making the trip up there from Charlottesville and will be in my orange gear with my 1979 fraternity brothers.

In the first half last night Pitt looked pretty balanced and formidable. Not sure what happened in the fourth quarter. This will probably be a close one that turnovers my decide.

The defense is not the problem. It‘s done more than enough the last two weeks to win.

the issue is the offense, that’s it. And it’s not just scoring it’s moving the ball, eating clock, winning field postion.

Agreed 144%.

The D did more than enough to win that game.
Just like they did vs Clemson.

When they got the stops and TO’s, the O responded by…
doing exactly nothing with it, and the D was right back out on the field again.

Not the D’s fault GS threw a horrible pick-6 to start the game, and that ST’s inexplicably didn’t bother blocking a dude, effectively giving up another TD.

Our O needs to score, but when it doesn’t it at least has to flip the field and not go 3-and-out over and over and over again.

I hope so. Right now the template is double Gadsden, load the box, and spy the QB. Until other WR's start burning single coverage defenses may continue to give us trouble.

I think the combo of CD-RW's down field passing ability (that dude throws with some ZIP) and Hatcher's emergence is going to open things up. A lot.

Our defense has been a wonder. In the ND game they had to keep defending a short field against that monster offensive line and those big backs. I think our young secondary maybe the strongest unit on the team.

For me 7-5 a couple weeks ago would have been disappointing and now I’ll be really happy with that. Given how tired and beat up this team is, I’ll take 7-5 but 8-4 I think is the goal. Gotta beat one of the good remaining teams just to prove we can. FSU at the dome would be great for the program.

We can’t keep going 3 and out all the time. The last two weeks have been torture to see this. It kills the defense getting a chance to rest too. Without how much the D was on the field against ND they actually played incredibly well in the 2nd half.

The potential was there this week. The question is whether it can come together soon enough to impact our games this season or next.

Given how limited Shrader was and we stuck with that for a half, I would say the potential was not there this week.
