It’s a nothing burger if you are some random dude . If you are a public figure of some stature in your home town and present an ID that says you are someone else and 21+ when anyone can make two clicks and see your DOB on any Minnesota roster Page, it means you are an idiot .. even then, maybe a nothing burger if you are an OLB. But a QB? That’s a triple whopper with cheeseAs Yogi Berra once said "If you ain't cheatin you aren't tryin ".

Sad story. My son had a little fake ID business in college in the early 2010s. He got paid in bit coin. When he got busted, he got out of the business. He then cashed in his Bitcoin. He’s be worth about $8,000,000 now.

Im quite amazed.
It’s not so much the act itself as the lack of judgement it shows at a position where judgement and leadership are everything. If he did this in some other place where he isn’t well known , it would be more defensible. He’s literally at home

Times have changed. Anytime I witnessed a fake ID discovered, the bouncer confiscated it and told the person to take a hike.

I think people get it. It’s just not a surprise to people. Idiotic to try to use a fake ID when everyone knows who you are; QB of a Big 10 school; all of your info is on the web and can be easily looked up; Hometown kid; etc. How is it possible to make such a dumb decision, right?
There’s a reason, for example, you don’t get a discount until 25 for car insurance. It’s because the brains prefrontal cortex which controls rational thought isn’t fully developed. So yes, super dumb choices by college kids are expected. On the spectrum of dumb stuff, this is very low.

Maybe we understand what you are saying but we don't think it's the major that you seem to be convinced it is. And that's OK. He did a dumb thing. He could have done much worse or dumber. Whatever.

Back in the olden days, the Big O (which turned into O’Toole’s) used to post all the fake IDs just inside the entrance.
In my old J-D days, one of my best friends made fake IDs, using a purloined Colby College ID, out of his parent’s basement.
The name on mine was Marvin Albert, from Woodmere, Long Island,
Many years later, I met Marv at a Newhouse event in the City. I told him the story. In his Marv inflection, he replied, “I’m honored!”
