How fun was that Dome atmosphere last night?

It's not a night I'll forget anytime soon. Sprinted from my seats to get downstairs to storm the field and got high fives from Dino, Butler, and DeVito. I still can't stop thinking about the game and have already watched a replay and every different highlight reel I can find.

Also, as we were leaving the field they were tending to a guy by our bench who looked like he may have broken his leg jumping over the railing. If that's any of you guys, I'm sorry about your injury and hope it didn't ruin an incredible night.

So you may have actually seen one of our former posters here. I don’t think it is the guy in the video but my good friend Justin was pushed from behind when trying to get over on to the field. He landed badly and shatter his right leg. Then the kid that pushed him from behind jumped down and landed on his other leg and dislocated his knee and did some other damage. He had surgery on his right leg today and had rods put in. He is having surgery on the other leg tomorrow. We are starting a go fund me page to help him out he is going to be out of work for a long time and we want to help out his wife and kids to get thru it. You guys know him here as heater and his name is Duece on Twitter I’m sure a lot of you know him. While he can be controversial in his past posts here he is a great guy and bleeds orange. I can’t tell you how much time he puts into this team. It is a mess for him and I feel terrible for him and his family. Crazy how you could go from that high of the win to the spot he is in now in seconds

Yikes. That's a major buzz kill after such a great night.
 
As I got to the railing to join the field celebration I in my exilieration decided to go over the rail and jump instead of the wiser slide under the rail. Could not hold the landing and fell right on my ass. Wish I had video of that to show. Didn't care one bit though.

Just read the previous post, did not mean to make light of that situation.

That's horrible, so sorry it happened. Hope he fully heals. Being on the aisle seat my husband went into the aisle letting some people who were leaving to get out.(we wanted to stay, bask in the win and just watch the celebration) 2 guys old enough to know better (one 1n his 20's and the other in his 40's or early 50's) ran down the aisle pushed through him knocking my husband down the stairs so they could jump on the field. Wrenched his back and I held him back from going after them. Wasn't a good situation but nothing compared to this poor guy.

Had to check into first aid at half due to extreme headache from yelling (the wonderful first aid woman was kind enough to give 2 motrin and 2 tylenol to get me through the 2nd half). Severe sprained ankle hopping the fence during the field storming. Lost my shoe to my good ankle somewhere near midfield. And have 25% use of my voice today. All well worth it.

I sprained my ankle at after a spring game reenacting warricks block for cuseguy. I had been drinking.

Ha, it really is a difficult place to storm the field and it’s not surprising that some injuries happened. It takes forever for the crowd to get out there so it’s more like a trickling onto the field. Going over or under those railings and hopping all the way onto the field(seems like a good 6 foot drop or so from what I remember) is not something you can safely do all that quickly. Throw in the numerous drunk people and the inconsiderate morons who disregard the safety of others, and it’s probably more dangerous to do than at many other places. Like, at the Dome for hoops, you can get to court level by walking down without having to climb over a railing and jump down 6 feet.

I stormed the field after VT in ‘98 but we were sitting in the VT section so obviously there was nobody else coming onto the field from that area, so it was easy to do safely.

Hey Bam, on a positive note, was re-watching some of the game but did you notice the block Shy put on that Clemson dude on the kickoff when it was tied 14-14. I don't think the Clemson dude knew what him.

I had several high fives with everyone around us, but the topper of the night came when we got back to the Fine lot tailgate and Cuseregular was giving everyone hugs and kisses. Love ya Mike.
