How many key coaching decisions…

The GRob product was horrible, but was he this bad in-game? I honestly don't remember. Probably repressed.
Well we ran the ball to Chiara and Fiammetta on the goal line in the 7 point loss to Iowa, while
Brinkley and Carter were out of the game. So yeah, he was bad in game too.

Oh god, I was there for that. Definitely repressed. That was the seemingly endless goal line stand.

Think about every bad decision you have ever seen in any football game, add in the worst offensive coordinator you have ever witnessesd, and throw in a few scenes from The Three Stooges, and then you have the GRob era.

He’s not a good close game coach. Today showed it so many ways.

But he’s done a great job making us a more competitive team. Whoever is saying GRob, please stop. It’s so dumb.
Well we certainly won’t be blowing many people out so we’ll have plenty of close games if we’re being competitive with our peers.

Curley or Shemp?

It's not a coincidence so many of these crucial call go against him. He has no feel for the game what so ever. Deciding to decline that penalty, go for a FG with Szmyt and then go for 2 only to get a penalty for delay of game are mind bending.

I will say declining that penalty was one of the worst decisions i have ever seen by a Syracuse HC. Here's why
- Wake has a good kicker, but still a 52 yard fg for someone who has never made one from that distance.
- Even if he makes it you get the ball with 4 minutes to go up. You can run your regualar offense before half and then get the ball after half. Potentially you could score twice before WF even touches the ball again.
- Maybe worst is you decline it and then rush 3 which almost guarantees you give back 10 yards.

Absolutely terrible decision for someone who claims to play 3d chess

no it isn’t

It’s not grob bad but it’s still bad.

Wake got +4 from the decision to accept the penalty assuming he makes the kick (he’s never kicked one that far btw), another +1 from going for 2 because we’re only up 1 due to his earlier mistake. That’s not counting anything else like the decision to kick the long fg vs going for it on 4th and 2.

Our XP from the 7 would have been to win the game had Dino taken the gift from clawson and just kicked the XP, sad part is that isn't even up there as one of his worst mistakes of the game. The reporters or fans who call into the radio show better not dare to question his decision making as he doesn't take to kindly to that.
Most coaches who screw up or make a mistake will say hey thats on me- my fault. I'm not sure if Db has done that once as the result of his huge in game decision making screw ups.

Yes it is.

We lost to a ranked team in OT. GRob was clueless in a Big East life.

This team is right there. FSU right now is beating up the ACC pre-season darling.

It's a good conference, Dino needs to hit a 50/50 better than he has the last two weeks.

You guys talk like this is the NFL. Coach leaves the forrest burns. But the smart guys of course know that.

None of that matters. A loss is a loss is a loss. And all he does is lose.

Fire him now! The amount of ridiculous decisions have now cost us 2 straight games (assuming no miraculous comeback)
We have played 3 cliffhangers in a row and lost 2. Liberty easily could have been a loss. Ideally, you want 3-0 in these close games but it's highly unlikely. 1-2 is better than 0-3.

These last 2 games we outplayed our opponents. There were countless coaching errors that cost us each of the last 2 games. While we won a close one against Liberty, we were ahead and should have won. I'll go ahead and give you an FSU loss against the Liberty win. That makes us 4-2. And if Dino started GS against Rutgers (as he clearly should have), we're very likely 5-1.

I'm so sick of blowing these games that could generate momentum for the team & the program as a whole. Had we won today (like we should have), we're 4-2 with a Friday night showdown against Clemson. It is deflating to have these letdown year after year after year. I was a Dino believer, but I'm done. He's made far too many obvious mistakes that have cost wins. A change needs to be made.

This is not even close to G Rob. I have my complaints but this is not G Rob or what FHCSS was bringing us towards

Shafer is laughing at Dino as we speak. Dino will soon be unemployed as well here in the 315.

Shafer's MTSU defense got rung up for 41 by Liberty today. Liberty blew them out 41-14. Shafer is a dolt.
