How many other teams in the ACC

JG3 as a Sophomore wouldn’t start at any P5 team.
Or atleast he shouldn’t.
The kid was thrown into the fire last year because of poor roster management. We thought of him as a 4 year player for the program.
Not a 4 year starting PG playing 30+ MPG.

I am not touching Buddy. I think he is a role player on a really good team. Who could play 15-30 MPG depending on how is doing in that game.

He isn’t what JB believes he is.

I'd guess about 30% for Buddy, and 15-20% for Joe. I'm being generous with Joe probably, but Buddy is absolutely a legit P5 player. Whether that means starter, or not is all team based. Oh, and those numbers are for P5. I do think that many fans here don't realize how bad many P5 teams are.

Both would be effective coming off screens from the bench. Off the ball shooters.

They're both P5 players, and either could start under the right or wrong circumstances.

If you have a dynamic PG, and are pretty decent everywhere else Buddy could thrive. That being said, he couldn't thrive anywhere in THIS role. He isn't equipped for it, and defensively he's probably a bust no matter what defense you play.

Also, nobody going to tolerate his lack of hustle in transition defense. We get it, your slow, at least try to catch someone - the officials are even passing you by like you're standing still!

JG, ehhhhhhhh, likely the same, you could make due under certain circumstances, but either one isn't carrying a ton of minutes on their back wherever else they might be without significant injuries clearing a path

The fan base should be loving these guys for what they do in limited duties, and we should have ridiculous threads wondering what would happen if they played even more!!!! That's the type of fun debates we used to have.

Jalen Carey and Goodine being busts and not able to contribute have set the backcourt back for years

Cuse got just about nothing for their signatures, that really sets things back

Things could improve if he let Kadary play more, play Griff at the 2 more, recruit another guard etc.

In the ACC, I can think of 4 off the top of my head that one of the two would start for. There probably aren’t any that both would start for.

Maybe this is JB punishing me for when I said I want Mookie Jones to play 35+ minutes a night because he could score 30 points a game just by shooting from the S at half court.

I learned my lesson, JB!!!! Forgive me! Gimme the well rounded, athletic, defensively acceptable guys back!!!

Backcourt players/results dropped off after Ennis. Ron Patterson, Kaleb Joseph, Frank Howard, Howard Washington, Geno Thorpe come to mind.

Tyus Battle is a notable exception that would start in P5 conferences.

Are Buddy and JGIII likely to start in B10 or B12 this year? Doubtful
