They wouldn't make it out of the parking lot.

I sat in the cheap seats in 2007 on Monday night wearing my Troy Aikman jersey. After being up the whole game (thanks to 4 cowboy turnovers) the Cowboys came back and one at the very end. Despite constant verbal abuse, I never feared for my safety.

I also wore the same jersey and an inflatable helmet to Giants stadium in 2002. I left unscathed.

Most of the time, if one doesn't act like an idiot and keeps his/her mouth shut, one can avoid trouble.

$1,000 and tickets. It's a long trip and I'm broke but I could use the money.

$10,000 and tickets to wear Cowboys gear to their game in Philly. Short trip but that would get dicey really fast.

My wife and I showed up to Ralph Wilson in full Steelers regalia with terrible towels and all. Bills needed that game for any chance at the playoffs. The Steelers played their third string in the last game of the season and easily won. We waved our towels and no one said a word. A nice bunch of fans. Granted half the crowd was Steelers fans, but the Bills fans we did see were just peaches. Absolute sweethearts.

To start 3 chants, $1000 sounds about right. Seems like a decent rate to act like an a-hole. If I didn't have to do that, I'd do it for free.

I sat in the upper deck at a Jets game in my Zack Thomas jersey last year. Not one issue. There were actually a lot of Fins fans. The AFC East has been so beaten up by the Patriots over the years, it's hard to have too much animosity for the other two teams. I still want to beat the snot out of them, but I also have empathy. That's just me.

I think it was 2007. Pats went up 35-7 just before the half. It was me and a friend(Pats fan) with a Bills fan and we stood up and cheered on big plays/touchdowns. we weren't trash talking just being fans, and when the last touchdown of the half was scored i was hit with a full beer, and we were harassed by about 8 fans behind us. Freezing and wet i immediately regretted driving 7 hours to see the game. Not indicative of the whole fan base, but those people around us were obnoxious.

It's a mixed bag. Honestly, I think with the new owner and a big win to start the season, fans might just be a little more positive and won't have as much frustration to take out on the opposing fans. Of course, Bills down a few touchdowns in the 4th quarter and people will be throwing beers and punches just like the old days.

I was 11 years old in a Jets jersey and had a full beer dumped on me. My dad is one of the least violent people I've ever met and as he stood up another fan punched the guy who poured the beer on me. The guy who dumped the beer on me was ejected as security saw the whole thing. It was quite the moment.

I was at that game in the 3rd level, and while I didn't fear for my own safety, my whole section managed to get cleared out. I must have witnessed 10 bleacher clearing fights throughout the game. Most of the time the Bills fans were fighting each other. I was completely shocked in what I was witnessing. But you are right if you don't act like an a$$hole you probably are fine.
