Some guy here in Austin whom I don't know very well posted a sweet Facebook message for me out of nowhere, reading as follows:

"wonder if Syracuse will be seeded higher than 'Horns? oh yea Syracuse is in timeout this yr."

Brilliant. Classy. Delicate.

I didn't bother to comment, but rather posted a photo:

I deal with my share of haters, and your reply was awesome. I'm just in need of the 102 class for non-Texan haters!

Hakim, one of the best dunkers in college basketball history. His dunks left me in awe and im tough to please. Its like no way hes gonna dunk from there over him and bam , facial. I miss him.

Never knew you had a prior career as a sports photog. Impressive. And congratulations on capturing one of the best SU hoops images ever--IMHO, it's right up there with the Rosie slam that's immortalized at The Varsity.

I don't know if you remember my visit with Hak in Atlanta at the Final Four, and I don't know how that image might hold up to serious enlargement, but we need to talk. I will be in touch, pronto. Hats off, sir.

Lol...Sorry you misunderstood, I didn't TAKE the picture, i blatantly stole it for use in wallpaper i photoshopped that made the rounds 12 years ago. Sorry if i wasn't clear

This reminds me when right after we won it all, I went to our to my car in our private work garage and saw a illegally parked car with a Longhorn decal in the back window. I went back to my office, printed out a copy of the pic, took out a Sharpie and wrote "HAK SAYS NO PARKING HERE!!" and placed it under the car's windshield wiper.
