Do they have the guns to contain Pierce/erv/moe/Ish?

Clemson, LSU and NC St. didnt.

Hoping the weather holds, I have supreme faith in Dungey and our physical/reliable receivers.

Their DL is beastly, key is going to be keeping Dungey on his feet. Linebackers are all true sophomore's that started last year as freshman. Secondary is solid but not much better than Clemson's.

Can't be better than Clemson's or LSU's can it?

Which P5 Dline hasn't been beastly? Seems like something we've heard every week starting with LSU.
So far we have played LSU, NC State and Clemson...all 3 of which had "beastly" defensive lines that really did squat against our offense. And arguably Miami would be worse than the 3 that we already played.

I am thinking we have our highest rushing total of the season against them....

Mark Richt has said they can't replicate our offense in practice. They have too many injured players. Thus, I'd presume it might take them a few series for their players to get the hang of playing defense against us. I might be less concerned about DBs in the first half and more concerned in the second half after they've learned, unless we've already tired them out by then.

Miami allows 363 yards/game. By contrast:
LSU allows 315 we managed 384
Clemson allows 289 we managed 440
NC State allows 378 we managed 444
Pitt allows 445 we managed 500

I see a trend here. Given they average 363 yards/game we should manage more than 410.

I'm concerned about winning the turnover battle and the impact of rain. Babers has said we can't replicate their field/weather conditions in practice.

This might be a wild game. ESPN will get their money's worth.

Good stats, but one of the first rules of college football is never believe a single word coaches say.
