jApparently it was a result of his recovering from surgery after contracting staph. Became life-threatening:

That's terrible, and on a personal level I wish him a speedy recovery. But that's really good news for us to have their head coach out of action just a couple weeks before the game.

Ehhh, we’re gonna beat them no matter what, wish he was healthy hate to see anybody like that.. Hopefully he’ll be back on the sidelines in week 2 or 3
