I’m calling bulldinky.

I think the reason why this ended up not being targeting is because Shrader is too upright. The defender went in high. Normally that would result in targeting but Shrader being upright was hit shoulder level.

I don't understand the rush to defend refs, do we win if that play is called targeting? Not sure, but I do know it had massive impact. I'm sick of the bs every time we play Clemson in a big game. Man down field call in 2018 on Hackett catch, hit out of bounds last year, now this.

I mean honestly, have we ever got an advantageous call against Clemson? Most weeks its pretty even, where I see a call we get away with, and vice versa, but Clemson its one way. The refs sucked, made the right call initially, then screwed us after review. Why is reffing the one job it seems are never held accountable? Its a job, they need to do better and be held accountable with disciplinary action for making or missing massive game changing plays.

Just over the one sided nature in this matchup, along with FSU to an extent. Not asking for cheap calls our way, just some consistency, and not missing huge penalties the other way.

That fumble was a game setter, and changed the game, along with any momentum we get from the targeting call standing.

I’m fully convinced the ACC refs spend their Summers at Dabo’s bible camp. While the refs weren’t the biggest reason we lost it was part of the reason.

I don't rush to defend refs. I'm a stickler for accuracy and most of us tend to view most calls through orange colored glasses. We have been royally screwed in the past. Yesterday there were a few missed calls and it favored Clemson to small extent, but I didn't get the feeling it was a screw job like in the past.

The targeting alone is a big enough call to change the complexion of the game

Faking it should not be a way to go through life,,,but it's the game today.

Baseball catchers have been framing baseballs that are out of the strike zone since the game was invented, basketball players have been flopping since they hung the first peach basket, soccer players all deserve Academy Awards for their performance on the pitch, but don’t dare do it in a football game?

Basketball players flopping is a newer phenomenon and it’s been a negative for the sport. Framing a pitch isn’t the same as crumpling to the earth getting tagged in a rundown.

These are big strong young guys. Taking a dive on a love tap is just weak.

I initially thought it was targeting, but when I saw the replay I changed my mind.

Watching it live at the Dome I didn't think it was targeting and was surprised they threw a flag.

Yeah, it was certainly a hard hit. The defender was on a full sprint and Shrader didn't see it coming. It was something we'd be replaying on the board 10 years from now if Wax did it to them.

Except Wax would have done it 5 yards out of bounds.

I kid, I kid...sort of

This is Alford’s catch and no replay.

A) how does Babers not challenge

B) how does the booth not take a look

I think where it really went downhill is when Shrader yelled "NICE GAME PRETTY BOY" to Shilpley.
