I am one who believe JAB should leave on his own terms

Huh?

So - “keeping it in the family” aka doing the same thing, but expecting a different result?

How’s the “family” been doing w recruiting the past 8+ years?

I’ll hang up and listen.

Why would you think an assistant would coach the same way. Recruiting hasn't been as big a problem as retaining players.

Hop at U-Dub.

Said he’d play multiple D’s, still plays zone 99% of the time.

He won early with ROMAR’s croots, but hasn’t done diddly w his own guys.

Who was our last Mickey D’s AA recruit?
When was our last Top 10 class?
Last guy drafted in 1st round?

My facts >>>>> your opinions.

Here’s the state of our recruiting and program:

This Is Fine GIF

Since we ran Coach P out of town we've had three complete coaching changes and we're 30 under 500. Let's see if we can do the same with hoops. When was Washington EVER a basketball school?

P wasn’t about to turn EIGHTY.

JB is at the end.
Whether it’s after next season, or (shudder) another year or 2 beyond.

He’s not a SCOTUS justice.

Are you still working full time at a very demanding job, that requires a lot of travel?

If we keep it in the family and they come in and try to play exclusive 2-3 zone, they should and will be run outta town.
I’m hoping Red/GMac got the memo. We need change in the program.
Bring on Pitino!!

If you read my post I said it was time to for JB to go and I stated my reasons.

I would think the assistants have only known The Boeheim Way.
What expertise or experience would they have that would lead you to believe they'd be:
• inclined to be different
competent in other styles/methods?

It's not just a decision to say, "Oh, now we're going to be an aggressive m2m, fast-breaking team." You have to change the drills. Assess recruits and skills differently. Read the tape differently. Making such drastic changes, you may as well hire someone with almost zero experience, because they'd almost be starting from scratch.

What, would you say, is the difference between a bad coach, a decent coach, and a great coach?

What does football have to do with it? We don't have a football stadium or football culture.

If you think/look hard enough, you can name some prominent basketball programs that moved on from a 'legend' and subsequently did very well. Why can't we be one of them?

Doesn't really matter, though, because we are eventually going to have to be one of them. Whether it's next year, or after JAB sucks out whatever's left of our brand and then decides he's tired.
