I am sure we can not overstate the importance of Wed.'s game...

I'd expect the team to be sky high to play on Wednesday. Not only is it Georgetown, but more importantly this will be for JB to pass Dean Smith in career wins. There should also be a big crowd, Georgetown is right behind us in the standings, etc. -- but I think that the JB / wins factor will have our team plenty motivated.
plus it's Fab's first home game back since the suspension.

IMO this is an absolute MUST win game for SU.

1. Georgetown is in 2nd place - a win over us would give them the tie-break. Before anyone scoffs at this think about this one - SU has 7 of it's 10 BE wins against the current bottom half of this league and we have 5 of our last 7 against the top half.
2. This win would give us over our next two closest in the standings and a substantial cushion should we drop a couple down the stretch.
3. This would give us another high profile win against a highly ranked opponent - something all of the talking heads have been bitching about all year long with our team.
4. This would give JB sole possession of third all time in DI.
5. I do'nt know about you guys - but I want to go out of the BE (if this is in fact our last year) with a bang and win the BE outright.
6. the Hoyas!!!!

I hope the guys realize all that rides on this game and plays accordingly.
Of course.
G-town is the ONLY game that really matters...and it's that way every time we play them.
A MAJOR DOMING is coming their way on Wednesday.

And it is so pathetic that there's even a credible discussion that this may be the end of THE rivalry.
Keeping this going should be a top priority going forward.
Only Duke-Carolina is comparable.

I LOOOOAAAAATHE G-town.

GO ORANGE!
