Sullinger has been exposed this year and they get away with a lot of crap inside..

Do you think Ohio State fans were impressed with us last night?

Great PG, Great Center. They're gonna be just fine.

Sullinger gets more credit for being great than he deserves. Bufford is the star of that team

Agreed.

But seriously dude, the board really needs you to get a new avatar.

I like Craft, but I wouldn't call him "great" at all.

I think if we played them the zone would force them to take terrible shots. Would much rather play them than Mizzou/Duke/UNC/UK.

I see a lot of Ohio State, since my wife is a grad / die hard sports fan. They're a team that worries me, primarily due to how well they feed the post. Sullinger also gets lots of calls, so it isn't difficult to envision him picking a couple of quick fouls on Fab due to favorable whistles.

I'm not as concerned about their defensive pressure, as I think we could handle it. Craft is a very good college player, but pound for pound I like our guards in this matchup.

Buford is a very good scorer, and Thomas is the wild card with his versatility. He'd be the guy I'd worry about knocking down 5 threes against us. The rest of the team, I think we match up well.

This is a game I could see going either way, but when you boil it all down I believe firmly that we are a better team than they are. If we pound the boards the way we have the last couple of games, I'd like our chances against the Suckeyes.

I watched a couple minutes of game action at the beginning and saw one sequence where OSU committed 3 fouls and none were called. One was on a defensive rebound where Thompson skied for the 1-handed rebound (used his other to keep the Minn player from jumping), then Sullinger committed an obvios charge by lowering his shoulder into the defender to create space. I forget the 3rd but it was not long after that sequence.

Actually OSU has some very good players in Buford, Thomas and Craft... but only 1 star in Sully. Without Sully they are an above average team but with him they are a very good team and easily top 5. A match-up between SU and OSU would be interesting ... remembering that OSU plays, typically, 3 guards and 2 forwards. But Sully would be a nightmare and Fab, by himself, would have a lot of problems containing him. He shifts so easily from the wing to the Center and we have shown some propensity to allow the ball inside. If SU limited Sullinger by doubling him when he moved to the Center that may limit his productivity. But then they have Thomas who averages 14+ ppg and unless KJo or CJ can blanket him the double up cause a problem. Of course this is assuming that OSU can't shoot from beyond the arc and that doesn't seem to be the case. As a Team they are hiitting at a rate of .332 from the 3 ... not remarkable but when you consider that Buford is hitting .374 and Smith .404 while Craft can slash and dribble well into the middle, I see OSU as, most certainly, amost difficult oppponent. Just IMO

I think Andre Drummond is a far greater threat to Fab then JS. Great hands but not very athletic, plays below the rim.

Craft is the key to their team. He sets the tone on both ends of the floor. Needs to look for his own shot more. Great athlete.

Honestly, I think this match-up would be far easier than playing KU, NC, even Duke. Missou really scares me...reminds me of Marquette with better players.

The key to beating Ohio State is simple. If you have to double Sullinger (which most teams feel they have to do) that leaves someone (Bufford Thomas) open and these guys can hurt you. Then throw in Craft, etc. By not doubling him teams have had success in stopping them on the offensive end.

Look at what Michigan State did. Draymond Greene played him pretty much straight up the entire game. Yes Sullinger went for 17 and 16 but Buford only scored 4 points and had only 1 rebound. Thomas scored 8 points and they were held to 48 as a team.

You need to play his one on one and let him get his numbers and stop everyone else. This is the blueprint to beat this team.

Yep, which is why they scare me. They are absolutely in the mix of 4-6 best teams in the country. Want nothing to do with them short of the final 4.

I second this motion. I had to change my avatar on here once because people misinterpreted it.

If anyone is interested, it was a picture of an Indian yogi who had himself buried up to his neck as a protest. People thought it was portraying an act of torture.

i would love to see osu. when minn switched to the zone last night osu was lost and i believe out scored by 15 or so to end the first half. and as far as sully, hes a bully he just tries to bump u down as much as possible and with fabs charge taking ability e would own sully all day. bet shot of the half
last night was when sullinger got the foul call on a shot he threw up backwards over his head. i was dying

In my opinion, the chances of winning a national title this year goes like this...

1. Kentucky
2. Ohio State
3. Syracuse/UNC (I'm on the fence, we don't have inside play, they don't have outside shooting)
5. Missouri
