I don't miss the Big East one bit

What does moving on with your life have to do with the Big East tourney?

So, because you're older, there shouldn't be a Big East tourney?

I guess you're right. I'm older now. I've moved on. I now watch SU play in its conference tourney from home because it's too friggin far from my home.

Meaning things change, some times you have to move on, you cant live in the past.

I'm okay with that prevailing thought. But we gave up s good thing. A really good thing.

I've watched a lot of UNC (my wife is from Chapel Hill and is a UNC fan), and they're the biggest enigma I've seen this year. They can beat anyone in the country, and they can also look like total garbage. If they made the Final Four I wouldn't be shocked. If they lost in the first round I wouldn't be either.

door #1 tonight

The Big East will get as many NCAA bids as the ACC despite having five less teams. Then again, the ACC kinda blows so maybe that's not a fair comparison.
In a 15 team conference there are going to be a few bad teams at the bottom. The top 6 teams in the ACC would shellac the top 6 in the Big East. If you matched them up 1 vs 1, 2 vs 2...IMO the ACC would sweep them, no exaggeration.

Who really knows what would happen in that hypothetical scenario but the star power atop the ACC no doubt is stronger - of course with fifteen teams instead of ten that's to be expected. here's another truth - any league that gets 60% of its members into the tournament is a solid conference. The ACC continues to be top heavy and carrying a lot of under performers and disappointments.

I miss the BET

Jim Calhoun used to say there was nothing like being the king of the playground. And the BE was a pretty big playground.

PS: Cincy is leaving hartford with the bad tasted of the boatshow in their mouth and its just not the same.

Was UConn a legit contender last year?

Yes. But only teams with the best player in every game can claim to be a contender like UConn last year. Or with Kemba.

The fact that game was played in Hartford tells you all you need to know about how far the new conference has to go. I can recall some bad press when we played in Hartford. I also have an issue with Albany playing SBU at home tomorrow.

You're right. This is the most inconsistent they have been in a long time. They somehow always seem to play well come March. If Marcus Paige plays well they could go pretty far.

It's less about the ACC vs. the Big East than it is about the old days vs. the new days. I'm glad we're here rather than there but I'd rather it be then than now.
