I don't think Jeter returning next year is 100%

I think this season's injuries might have been a shock to this man whose pride has been tested. Salary considerations aside he might just say, I'm out. The other side says that he wouldn't just leave the Yankees and the fans in a lurch. I doubt he wants the Mo treatment at every city they play in. I won't be happy until he says next year officially as the SS or any other position he could be talked into. I will always think first base saves his legs as opposed to the stress at shortstop.

He has an $8 million option for 2014, with a $3 million buyout.

I can see him playing more games at DH than SS next season. Or he could back-up Tex at 1B once in a while.
