i gotta tell you, edouard's tape is the most impressive SU QB recruit i've seen since...

I finally watched the tape. There should be no Nassib playing in a Wing T so he has so much to learn, worries. This offense looks as modern as it gets.

Unfortunately our bar is being set so low right now, if someone throws for 150 yards we'll be looking for him on ESPN's weekly Heisman update.

yes we must temper the enthusiasm. We already have a qb (several actually) that throws a push ball. Not that his tape isn't impressive on its face but if we're going to annoint this kid then, well lets not go there. Rather Lets continue to misuse AB and let him play where his deficiencies are brought out front and center. AB should've gone to GT he would have had 300/yards game there (umm rushing that is).

these are highlight tapes- i bet allens was a doosey - also the 2 redshirts tapes

he does look to have wheels

After last year I try not to get too pumped about verbal. If the kid is good well have to fight off the poachers

Good point.

But hopefully this kid is sharp enough to understand what a great opportunity he has at Syracuse University.

Last year was impacted by a coaching change. That will not happen this year.

Agreed. The QB race will be about as wide open as it's ever been next year at SU, and frankly I'll be a little stunned (and disappointed - because it means our younger guys aren't as good as we thought) if Hunt starts the season under center next year.

He isn't fast enough. Vad Lee is much quicker. They probably would have moved him to D. Or... Wait for it - WR.

Miami kid offered by Miami and committed to Miami. Question I wondered was if it was at Qb. They took verbals from two additional Qbs so Edouard decomitted from them. Said he wasnt feeling the love.

I'd prefer not to forget about the other QB in this class either who's also done everything possible to get other kids to sign on.

Agreed.

I really like this young man.

Edouard was my #1 want in recruiting. But still as good as his highlight film looked he also threw 9td's and 9int's as a junior, which weren't shown on the highlight film. His main criticism is he is a 1 read and take off at this point. Still it's real early in his maturation process and has a long way to go. His HS offense is very similar to our current one so it should be pretty easy to pick up. He has all the physical tools to succeed though. Not referring to you, but in general i just thought i'd add some of the negatives that aren't seen in the highlight film just to temper expectations a bit

I do believe many of you missed my point that they blew it with broyld playing him anywhere but qb

He can't play qb right? He doesn't have the arm strength or the ability to fully grasp the playbook You do know all this right?

I grasp that lots of people say that but I think they're wrong

Wait you moved from hypotheticals to sure the Broyld is the answer at QB?

Say it ain't so?

the first part of that is right, the second part is not the case at this point (this right from the horses mouthes). So basically he'd be a more athletic version Hunt.

I wish we had put him at LB. Just screamed Doug Hogue to this untrained eye.

That's where he was told he had the best chance of getting to the next level. I've said from the beginning he'd be an OLB or possibly a TE.

Marrone and Hackett were wrong, Shafer, McDonald and Lester were wrong, even the coaches at Milford were semi misguided (AB played in a rotation there), but Millhouse is right. Ok, it is your opinion.

he was stellar on D too in that NYS HS Championship game he won so you guys are right he'd be good there too. He nearly won that game by himself not the least of which was his defensive plays.
