i gotta tell you, edouard's tape is the most impressive SU QB recruit i've seen since...

Wait you moved from hypotheticals to sure the Broyld is the answer at QB?

Say it ain't so?
At this point no, because they wasted years of his development. They should've kept him there.

Marrone and Hackett were wrong, Shafer, McDonald and Lester were wrong, even the coaches at Milford were semi misguided (AB played in a rotation there), but Millhouse is right. Ok, it is your opinion.
Marrone and Hackett thought Jeff Tuel was better than Thad Lewis. This stuff is a crap shoot. None of these QBs would be here if they knew how bad they were.

2 things:

1. You can't argue this anymore. It's pure hypothetical with no way to prove you wrong. It should go in the bin with all of the "what ifs" and "could have beens" ...

2. I agree that there are more misses than hits in QB coaching - but that is more the nature of the position and less about the coaches ability to judge talent.

Now this I can agree with. I just hope one of the kids is a hit.

That's where he was told he had the best chance of getting to the next level. I've said from the beginning he'd be an OLB or possibly a TE.
Do you think that after Wales graduates he will move to more of a true HB/TE role. Hopefully some of the young WR will contribute next season. I always got the feeling the base offense will eventually be 3 WR, a H-back, and a tailback set.

I do believe many of you missed my point that they blew it with broyld playing him anywhere but qb

Not to mention his name again, but I will...

Coach P would have played Broyld at QB, Coach Marrone wanted pro-style in Nassib. The other guy would have been playing with his train set either way.

i think broyld's versatility hurt them. marrone thought he could help them in 2012. marrone was all in on 2012. he didn't give a about 2013. hunt wasn't going to help them anywhere else so hunt didn't get moved.

mr dream job didn't recruit or develop any qb but the one who was here from before he was hired.

he was stellar on D too in that NYS HS Championship game he won so you guys are right he'd be good there too. He nearly won that game by himself not the least of which was his defensive plays.

I've said this here a few times last year, AB shies away from contact. That was the main reason why he wasn't moved to D last year. True story. The kid is a fluid talent on O, just needs to get focused on his technique and mindset.

Also, he's a pretty talented receiver. If he continues working on securing the ball before looking for his next move, we will have a stud next year. He's already impressive as hell given the circumstances.

He will never play D at SU, ever. That's the truth Mike. Wish I had a better answer for ya!!!

He's our most athletic receiver since Mike Williams and it's not even a contest.

He hears footsteps on crossing routes, so he half quits on the route. Rob Moore is really working with him. He can only get better over time.

Does Broyld have breakaway speed? He's shifty as hell, but a burner by no means.
