tough way for Florida to get knocked out.. random tossing of a shoe in the hand..

Dumbest thing I've ever seen. How do you explain that to your teammates and your coach?

One of my best friends is a huge Gator fan.. He’s absolutely beside himself. I couldn’t believe I witnessed that when watching it live. To do that, with literally everything on the line... just wow.

Threw away, not only, National Championship aspirations, but also, his teammates Heisman chances.

To make matters worse.. Gator fans already couldn’t stand Marco Wilson. He’s their cockiest, worst defender on the field for his entire career.

florida beats alabama. clemson loses to ND twice close games. NW beats OSU, USC loses to Wash,

Ala gets in without winning the SEC TAM gets in without playing in the SEC title game

cant put OSU in but now way NW goes. so

ND is in

Cincy/coastal then?

2 loss ISU or OK?

great year for 8 team playoffs with the mess all over

Imagine being Kyle Pitts watching that...

Coach “rests” you for Alabama and it doesn’t even matter as you watch your team lose to LSU...

Spiking the ball on 4th down might rate pretty close

I mean, there are mental errors in the pressure of the moment.

And there’s throwing someone’s shoe and giving them a first down.

Both are high up on the frustration meter but one is a little higher for me. Hint. The shoe.

As an avid pro and college football fan and bettor that watches tons of games (like many here), I am constantly amazed at the stupidity displayed by these players on a weekly basis. I know it's a game played with emotion but the tendency to put self before team and lose sight of what's important is truly alarming. No big deal risking a 15 yarder as long as it gets your mug on tv or "intimidates" the opponent. What's even more mind blowing is watching these coaches leave the culprit in the game with no repercussions.

How arrogant is that to rest your best player when you have a defense as suspect as what the Gators have. And I'm sure Trask appreciates having his Heisman chances diminished as well.

The Ole Miss - Miss State was even dumber, and more gross. The Athletic did an article on how many coaches’ careers were affected by the subsequent firings.

Dan Mullen deserves "Tool of the Year" for his brain dead coach speak defense of his player. "I didn't see it." "I guess that's a penalty." And best of all..."There was no intent to taunt..." (that was after seeing the replay). And then he goes on to berate his offense for not making plays in a game they lost 37-34 (while resting their AA Tight End). And while he doesn't need to blame the player, he at least should acknowledge that that isn't something they can have happen. They could have still stopped them but gave up another 1st down and 17 yards to get LSU in position for a 57 yard FG.

I remember that one, that was crazy.

It was very accurate. Nice duck on GWB's part.

W is surprisingly athletic.
(Pretty decent runner and mtb'er in his prime.)

However, I imagine he'd pronounce that ath-a-let-ic.
