Brandon has a glaring mechanical issue where he takes away his guiding hand too early on his release, and half of the time he doesn't get squared up and leans forward or to the left or right. It's gotten to the point where it's an anomaly that he squares up and shoots with good form. This is good in the sense that it is correctable but not very likely at this stage of his career. I wonder how much of this is in his head, but in the end what you see is what you get.
He will never be anything but average when it comes to creating for teammates but if he could at least become a more consistent shooter that will be critical for next year's backcourt. With Triche and Cooney, I'm more concerned that we'll be relying on MCW to provide all of the dribble drive.
