That's weird--because right after the game on the TruTV coverage, Seth Davis was the only one on the panel arguing that the right call was made on the lane violation. Someone else said: "if you're a ref, you have to swallow your whistle there."

To which Seth replied: "Why? That's what rules are for--and if rules are violated, calls have to be made."

Strange that he would change his tune later on.
Big Brother got to him. He is now part of the collective.

That makes me think he asked it when talking to the official to give him an opportunity to state that...then was stating his own opinion later.

I thought that was the Borg.

Based on their complete lack of emotion lately, I fear the Borg got to Joseph and Trishe, too.

Could not believe Seth made that comment and started it with "I think we all can agree..." in regards to the lane violation. One of those tools also called that play a brilliant coaching move after it was determined to be a violation!

I don't know what's worse, the headline or this.

According to the rule, it was indeed a lane violation, although it could have gone uncalled without much notice.

Haha, what? Well he's at least admitting that he's a mouth-breather, I'll give him that.

The Triche play was indeed incidental contact - for a defensive back. Actually not. Even in the NFL that would have been flagged as pass interference.

The NBA guys are terrible...Charles and Kenny cram a season's worth of game viewing into that past 4 games, just to have a scant knowledge of what the hell they are watching.

There were times when they didn't even bother to report what was going on in the live game. At one point, they were so busy analyzing what the Cuse OUGHT to do that they never mentioned Southerland making a three. Blithley went on to describe the next action at the UNCA end of the court and never did mention the previous score. Can't say I've ever seen an announcing team ignore an entire play.-VBOF

Apparently the Asheville coach is claiming his team is clearly better and the refs cost them the game as well. I can't find the press conferences but he is quoted in game stories as saying that. Very rarely do you hear that kind of talk from a 16 seed.

Who cares, they're UNC-Asheville and they're boarding a plane, which I understand is a big deal for them, back to the sticks.

Len Elmore still doesn't know why it was a lane violation. Clueless. Look at the replay, open your eyes, and know the rule.
