I just can't read the P-S anymore.

And that's a terrible thing to say about your team's hometown paper. Were the P-S writers forced to undergo negativity training? First it's Michael "Mr. Sunshine" Cohen, and now Carlson:

"And if the Orange don't manage to beat Wake Forest this weekend, the rest of the season will likely be about developing players for the future."

I just cringe when I read something like this. Does he hate SU, or is his writing simply unencumbered by the thought process? Or is he really 12 years old?

Yes, the path to a bowl would become difficult, but beating Maryland, Pitt and BC wouldn't be an insurmountable task, and does anyone actually see Shafer prematurely throwing in the towel under these circumstances?

I read that and it honestly didn't bother me a bit. I don't happen to agree with it but it's only an opinion. My opinion is different but equally valid.
And, if we do lose to Wake Forest, check this board after the game and see how many posters are saying "well that just makes it more difficult"
