I just watched the 1st half of the GT game again on offense

It confirmed what I thought. Hunt did not play nearly as bad as many here think.
Trust me-I am not related to Terrell Hunt in any way (If you saw me, that would definitely confirm it), but if you watch the tape again on espn3.com on the replay you will see what I am saying.

I know it is fashionable to always blame the QB, but he didn't have a chance. You think Alin Edouard is going be very successful converting 2nd and 28 b/c of multiple penalties on the OL? Don't get me wrong-he made a few bad plays, but he also made some very nice plays and looked much better throwing the ball than the previous game-I don't care what the stats say. Let us not forget this is his 3rd start and he's a Redshirt sophomore who isn't throwing to Mike Williams or Marvin Harrison.

I was a big Nassib defender when he had his struggles b/c I saw his potential and I feel Hunt has got some potential, but needs some time and a more disciplined team around him.

Everyone always likes the newest flavor when it comes to QB, but there's no reason to believe the Freshmen will be any better at this point. Next year, let the best man win, but right now, i believe Hunt has the combination of experience for the short term and potential for the long term.

Rant over.
you're right that it wasn't on Hunt as much as some thought, don't think however he's the qb of the future. Going forward we're likely a two headed monster at the qb position.

there is so much cherry picking going on

rather than picking and choosing which 9 passes matter more than others, why don't we just look his entire performance?

if i can be allowed to cherry pick

we had a chance for a big play, he waited so long like he wanted to get drilled and then missed kobena by 10 yards.

no one misses that by that much. throws like that are why he's historically bad.

if people believe in hunt for the future, they need to get him out and offer up allen as a sacrifice to the football gods because he's going to be an arob part 2.

There is nothing about Hunt's play that idiotic penalties by the (supposedly good, barf) OL, WR drops, and poor WR route running wouldn't improve.

There was also a number of throws down the field he missed for big gains.

Oh, you mean just like my namesake did many times as well?

I think he turned out to be a pretty good D1 QB.

Phil, just know I will be calling your "not a D1 QB" post out, because you are dead wrong. Hunt will be fine.

i think this is proof that no matter how bad a qb plays, there will always be some people who'll say "if he only had more time". qb play this bad over 3 games just doesn't happen. not even at UConn

No, not so. You could give Allen all day and he would still suck.

I initially thought that too after hearing that arm strength was a weakness, but I don't think arm strength has been the issue at all.He actually has real good zip on the ball. Now his decision making has been another story.

Oh man i could not disagree any more... Hunt has a weak arm. he shotputs it to the sidelines and cant throw more than 5 yards down field. He is just not what we had hoped. There MUST be an open competition next year.

Hunt wont be our QB after this season, zero chance (barring transfers/injuries/etc). If that means he "will be fine", then i agree.
Hunt is not even in the same world as McNabb is/was at this point. Thats just silly to mention them together.
