I keep getting this feeling that...

Ugh, I was at that game in 2005. It felt like I was one of about 50 SU fans in the entire stadium.
I was high in the non TD Jesus end, there were a lot of SU fans in that area. WE did pretty good for a team that was so bad. (travel wise )

We absolutely can win this game. This isn't like our game vs. FSU last year where there was such an absurd talent/speed discrepancy that all the Noles had to do was go through the motions to win by 5-6 TDs. If SU/ND play 10 times, ND probably wins 7 or 8. Which means Saturday being the 2 or 3 times is a legitimate possibility. We just have to establish the run game that we all know we're capable of doing, and for the love of God don't give up effortless big passing plays over the top.

I agree completely that the talent gap isn't as big between Syracuse and ND. With that being said, we need to play 4 solid quarters of our best football to beat them. Golson is going to eat us alive and we are going to need to maximize our scoring to keep up IMO.

Oh no, there were busloads of us. A lot of guys here.

Highlight was IB confronting Gross on his USC luggage.

Yeah, ND just sticks you in the upper deck endzone. But certainly a sold out allotment and then some.

IB to Gross was great. Gross: "No, USC means University of SyraCuse". Worst response ever.

Or Cuseregular getting tossed for smuggling and using his extra souvenir ticket to talk his way back in.

40% of the ND crowd is represented by ushers. Rudy should have used that angle to get in the door.

Was a great time. Sitting in that lobby off a rough Friday evening with about 3 hours of choppy sleep and probably already a couple bloody Marys in I couldn't resist. I did offer to buy him some Syracuse luggage.

I have a pic someplace of us leading 3-0.

The Reyes uni is clearly awesome. I like the military inspired 44 logo on the new unis a lot, they could add that to those in the pic...that would be pure perfection!

We can only wish.

You make the call.

I like the bottom ones more but a combo of the 2 would be perfect. We cant have this game relying on fg's

It will make everyone sick when they break out the grey and blue combo for this game (speculation) and I will be here laughing.

The jerseys are fine. The all blue look sucks. Those jerseys with white pants and an orange helmet would look sharp.

It was the color combo I was mostly comparing. I wanted a pic similar to the Reyes running the ball one. Used one from last year. As you know, this years now have Orange numbers.

I was at the upset of WVU in Morgantown, the subsequent beating of them the next year, and the home upset of Louisville. This would be a win on a truly national level. Let's go boys! Can't wait to be there Saturday night.

This thread is devolving into yet another uniform debate ? What the heck is this cloth's horse .com .

My brother-in-law works in development at ND. OBviously no one wanted to go to that game (SU sucked, ND wasn't great) so I was sitting in the front row behind the ND bench for that one. Pretty sweet.

Same here. 3-zip after one quarter. Figured I better get that photo op, since the next 45 minutes provided the expected result.

Reyes was one of my favorite players, was amazed he didn't catch on as a pro.

Look at this Mel Kiper article from 7/28/04.

Syracuse Orangemen

1. Walter Reyes, RB, sr. -- A legitimate Heisman Trophy candidate after posting 1,347 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns last season. Reyes runs hard up the gut and has quickness to the outside to go with his tremendous instincts and vision.
2. Damien Rhodes, RB, jr. -- Provides a nice 1-2 punch with Reyes. Rhodes goes 6-1, 212 and rushed for 123 yards last season before injuring his ankle and missing the final seven games of the year.
3. Diamond Ferri, S, sr. -- A converted running back who has developed into a heck of a strong safety. Ferri had 120 tackles in 2003, including 75 solos which was a single-season school record for a defensive back.
4. Anthony Smith, S, jr. -- Had 106 tackles last year from the free safety spot. Smith goes 5-11½, 190 and picked off five passes last season.
5. James Wyche, DE, jr. -- Athletic at 6-4½, 265, Wyche is still learning the game and the staff is waiting for him to emerge. He has the potential to get 8-10 sacks this year and finally take his game to an elite level.
