A couple of benies:

1. I think it give our guys incentive to strive to be #1.

2. It takes a certain amount of pressure off.

3. We are not in a nowhere to go but down situation.

4. If we entered the tourney as an overall #2 seed - we should still get a good draw, but yet we would not be the "ultimate" hunted & it certainly does not decrease our chances to go all the way.

All we should care about is the #1 seed in the East. That is a major, major need for our program. Syracuse struggles in the Sweet 16 are beyond epic. Need a game close to home in that round.
