I like Bill Raftery as an analyst but he doesn't mesh well in this #1 broadcasting team

I rewatched the Ohio State- Syracuse as well and determined he has a lot of biases if you pay close attention.

I am entertained by him but his quality is going down by the year in my book. He would work as the lead guy with a good PBP but him and Nantz do not mesh at all.
Funny that you say this about Raf. I'm not questioning it. But I'm the opposite when it comes to Vitale. I find him almost endearing most of the time now, whereas he used to be unbearable. did he change, or did I?

Nantz blows. I prefer Harlan for basketball and football.

Harlan was awful last night. Calls a charge on a travel, ball out of bounds on a foul...I know that happens sometimes but not on 40% of whistles.

Three voices are too many for a broadcast.
There are exceptions. The classic Bilas/Raf/McDonohue team. And Gary, Keith and Ron of the Mets, though it's less common now that all three are together. Usually only Gary and one of the others will be on a road trip together, unless it's maybe to Philly.

I would say Kiner, Nelson and Murphy of the Mets too, but I think usually two would do TV and one the radio broadcast.

Gary,Keith, and Ron are the best, actually Gary is doing our game on the radio tomorrow.

Nance is stiff as cardboard. Pairing Raf with him doesn't work. He needs to be with someone who can play off his funny comments...like Sean McDonough & Bilas.

I like Raft, my pet peeve is Nantz, I like him as an announcer, but he doesn't do any college basketball during the season at all, and parachutes in during March and gets to be the number one team.

A prelude to a championship...aka, The Master's. ;)

Fantasy broadcasting:
Can you imagine pairing Bill Walton with Ralph Kiner? Nobody would know what the hell was going on in the game.
Hahahaha. Even better, Walton with Phil Rizutto.

One thing that might help is that you see him less than you did 10-15 years ago.

Possibly. But I think he's also mellower, doesn't use his catch phrases as often, and is less of a blatant Duke homer. Plus he really likes SU and JB.

I agree with all of that.
