i miss the good ol days….

when we were on the bubble every year. those were fun times. maybe 1 of these years we’ll be average enough to get back there.
Good one.

This team’s ceiling was sneaking into the tournament and then winning a game, maybe 2. We’ve been told that tournament runs don’t count and don’t matter, so really are we missing out on anything by playing a road game in the NIT?

I know, right?!? 38 years of non-stop 20-win teams and contenders in the best conference in the country and 9 down years that included a sweet 16 and a final four is awful. JB should give back all his wins.

Oh boy, you’re asking for it now.

I read a thing recently, about a parent remaking that her child always looks for the hand sanitizer whenever they enter a store, because she has never known a time when that wasn’t something you need to take care of. The same kind of thing is happening now—students and fans and observers of the program will only know SU from the bubble and below years. Our ‘heyday’ has gone the way of the dodo.

Ancient history indeed. I get it. Of course the history is the very reason you have the expectations you have. And guys who have essentially four decades of high level accomplishment usually get to determine their exit in college sports. And they usually hold on too long. It is what it is.

JB and his decades of history have built up an infrastructure that will enable Cuse to be successful in the new day of NIL. Fan base, dome, program history, boosters like Adam, etc. It's happening right now with Adam spending a lot of money to get top recruits.
