I really need college hoops to start asap

I love football Saturdays. Best time of the year
Agreed. Starts with Gameday and goes all day. So much more excitement and emotion in college than the NFL. Sundays watching the giants, bills, or jets is a yawnfest...That said, as a Syracuse fan I cant wait till Maui, Indiana, then the ACC. Hell, even December looks good with IU, SJU, and Nova.

One more week...I just can't wait...

It's been highly enjoyable this fall watching a parade of 3 star basketball recruits turn down UConn. Seems there's one every week.

Its because we all know alabama is winning. Not much to get excited about. The post season in college football is embarrassing.

Actually, I don't think bama wins this year.

College football stinks. About 5 percent of the games are competitive.
To be fair it's probably similar in basketball. There's just more games played so it seems like most of them are close.

Also Marsh, we've only got 15 days until Kent State and Temple take the floor to tip-off ESPN's 24hour marathon. Only 5 days until Syracuse's first exhibition game against Holy Family and only 12 until SU's season opener against Cornell.

Bad news is daylight savings time ends on November 3rd, adding an extra hour to the wait. :p

Check out the Premier League on NBC SN. Original football is a much better TV sport than nearly anything out there. A game clocks in at about 2 hours or a bit less, just like college basketball. Games start early and leave you with most of the rest of the day free. No time outs. Free flowing action, played in 2 halves of 45 minutes running time. A lot more physical that you imagine, especially without any padding. Players do lots of nasty to each other with their spikes and elbows, so it is clearly a "Man's Game".

And in England, they don't tolerate the diving and simulation that is so common in Spain and Italy. And the announcers are SO much better. They don't yell the entire time to try to get the viewer amped up.

It's gotten to the point that soccer is my favorite sport to watch, next to Syracuse basketball. But geez, the way college basketball has gotten to the point where they permit so many fouls on the exterior, it's gotten pretty unwatchable. I really hope the rule changes this year improve the product. I'm getting sick of 65-57 game scores.

They haven't been rewarding in the vicarious thrill of winning big games for sur. I'm anxious to see the blend of new talent on the court as well.SUball
