Coulda gone into the NCAAT with a #1 seed and a healthy team, now thanks to this stupid, meaningless exercise we have to sweat out Kris' thumb issue.

Pray to the ligament gods.

It should be fine. From the video from pre-game warmups it looked like he jammed it. Obviously those can be hard to deal with, and I'm sure it affected his poor shooting day today, but I feel like he wouldn't have played most of the second half if it was too big of an issue.

I'm sure he'll get a heat wrap on it from now until tomorrow night, mix it up with some ice and rest and he'll be fine.

It's not like he was grimacing or shaking it throughout the game.

Just a jammed thumb that happens to everyone who plays, fluke accident. It will be fine in a few days.

Maybe it will be an issue, but he played 38 minutes today. If it was a bigger issue, I can't see JB putting him in for that long, if at all.

which is why he shot like crap. Silver lining is that Southerland has been coming on lately.

It could have happened in practice. The idea of not going to the BET because of that is silly.

He took 1 three pointer and I don't remember any other jumpers. He just struggled getting clean looks off the drive. He doesn't go left much, anyhow.

he was 1 for 8 at one point.

It's a jammed thumb, he came on late in the game. A jammed thumb hurts for a day or two, then goes away.

the reason he shot poorly is because he was getting accosted...not his left hand thumb.

Grits and hush puppies are fine. A tourney in Greensboro leaves me cold.

Tell me about it...but Football needs some help. Sounds like MSG won't be an option. :bang:

Give and take. Giving up a lot in hoops, getting something back in football. I'm sick about the whole thing, though.

the only thing Cuse came out on the shortend of in this move is the BET. other than that, they lost on nothing.

ACC $$$ > bmw $$$
ACC football > bmw football
ACC Hoop > bmw hoop
duke/unc > storz/gtown
ACC tourny not in NYC < bmw tourny in NYC

Oh Lord

If it is even a remote problem tomorrow afternoon then Kris should definitely sit out. #1 seed is locked up and although BET championships are nice, still small potatoes compared to the big prize.

Nonsense. 10 of the 12 programs in that league in its current form are .

but if SU had declined, then we'd be the ones stuck with road trips to half empty Texas gyms

2013 ACC hoops is an order of magnitude better than 2013 Big East hoops

The move had to happen, no need to beat that to death any longer. Time will tell which hoops league is better next year. What is clear is that what we've been accustomed to for the past 7 years is better than what we'll experience in the southern conference for the foreseeable future.

I love the big east. I even sprained my thumb by banging my hand 25 times in a row when james hit that big 3. I will be ok for tomorrow so no worries.
Put a PBR pounder on that thumb and relax - back to 16 seed breakdowns tomorrow. You deserve an evening off
