For a few games there it really looked like he'd made that next step in the areas of defense and rebounding - where he could contribute even if his shot wasn't falling - tonight he just looked lost and out of it.

James is basically useless against a foe that plays any defense. He's a non factor against any top 20 team. Just so Charmin soft...and never hits 3's against those teams. It easy to see that James and Christmas aren't going to be playing in any meaningful game in the ncaa's.

Stroke? How about trying to box out a man. He without a doubt has the worst instincts when it comes to rebounding with a guy who has so much athleticism I have ever seen. So frustrating.

When Kris and james are on the court at the same time... I love to just watch them both NOT move toward the defensive glass when a shot goes up. They get so caught up just watching the action.

I agree with y'all. James is not alone in not boxing out. Pretty much everyone needs to retake rebounding 101.

James has lost his mojo. But, until this game I thought he brought some defensive intensity and some rebounding to the game - he had nothing in this game. Fair also had nothing except his rebounding, and even there he seemed to be just coasting through and not being aggressive - he lost one rebound because he seemed to just reach and lean out for the ball instead of going strong for it. I can't help but think that the team is just mentally tired and they really need to regain focus and play with a sense of urgency every game.

He needs a LOT of space to get his shot off. Against teams that play tight defense in his grill he can't shoot. He just rushes off balance flings rather than stepping in to his stroke. But he also failed to rebound a few misses and got beat on the glass a few times which is why he didn't get much run. Without CJ we would have been totally crushed on the glass.
