Because it sucks.
As a high school kid, I loved Mac, but he left. Then 4 years ago, I fell in love with Coach Marrone. I thought he was the one, I thought he'd stay forever and never stray. Sure, he'd flirt, but this might be it.
Last week, I swore I was done. I've never been anyone's disciple in terms of any human being who walks the Earth. I never was a follower or total believer in a philosophy; even as a regular church going/recovering Catholic, I question things, ignore some basic tenets, and kinda forge my own sub-path.
Then I watched the Scott Shafer press conference. I. Am. A. Believer.
This guy is great, love the attitude, the ambition, the candor, the humor, the grit. I thought about texting DCCuse yesterday to see if he was going to the presser and wanted to meet up. Now I wish I did. I do a lot of employee and personnel evaluation in terms of job fit in my work. I think this guy just screams "coach" to me. The right combo of Mac's interpersonal skills, Pasqualoni's trustworthiness, and Marrone's focus on the team.
SO excited for the future of SU football.
