I watched the first quarter live then had to go out for lunch and shopping with the family. Usually Fanatics sends me an email when SU wins, saying something like “Syracuse wins, celebrate with 15% off.” I kept checking my phone and the email never came. I assumed we lost. I was certain we lost.

When I returned home and watched the rest of the game, and it got down to the 2:00 warning, I was angry that we would lose despite having a two touchdown lead with 2 minutes left. When UConn scored to get within seven, I assumed they’d kick the onside kick successfully. When they didn’t, I assumed we would fumble during a kneel down.

When the game was over, I finally exhaled.

The email never came. Go Orange.

Wow! I had the same thoughts and I was there!

I also had family events going on so I was only able to watch part of the 1st quarter. Luckily, I don't have a ton of ppl text me about college football so I was able to watch the game without it being spoiled later.

So glad I wasn't able to watch it live, it would have ticked me off. Syracuse felt light years better but they never pulled away.
