I wish I watched BG's 692 yard game against MD

Yes of course but when you have multiple players and their families pissed off about being kicked out of the program because they have been cleared medically then there is a problem.

They do not have enough info on the brain and concussions to say one way or the other...seeking the side of safety is a good thing.

Shouldn't priority #1 be the health of the student athletes?

We need to stop protecting people from themselves like a bunch of nanny state dictators. These kids are adults. Old enough to vote or get blown to smithereens policing the world. They also have parents. If they decide they want to play at Syracuse, it is stupid to force them to transfer. Who decided 3 is the magic number?

You're not seeing the whole picture, the whole "nanny state" bandwagon is preventing your from seeing why this policy is in place.

A good thing for who?

There should be an FBS-wide policy for all programs to follow that allows for no competitive disadvantages for schools who are overly afraid of potential lawsuits that may or may not happen 30 years down the road.

Until then imo we shouldn't be kicking kids out of the program against their will due to the opinion of one or two individuals who may or may not have agendas.

I don't know why 3. I understand your premise and agree to a point but it also could be a policy that is helping stop an emotional decision that could affect them for the rest of their lives.

So is SU using a GP to make these call a lie or is the kids getting a second opinion from specialists a lie?
Why would we lie to kids to medically disqualify them when they're starters?

Have the policy in place if you want but get someone qualified to make these diagnosis that will affect a kid's life forever. This is the same bandwagon that killed the Kiss cam, turned us into Oranges, and sent guys like AJ packing from thud drills. Other's schools aren't kicking kids out left and right, and other schools still let people kiss on camera. Someone up on the hill is paranoid as a mutha and the saying better to err on the side of caution is BS. At least anyone who approves of the Dino hire would think so.

LOL, ok. So what does this have to do with my post and why did you reply to it?

1. There is not enough info on concussions to be definitive about much. Opinions will and do vary across the profession. Most agree they are bad.

2. One doctor and some trainers have had access to the athlete immediately. The other Doctor gets them months later?

3. We don't know. Just chill for a while. Not worth taking up sides and beating your chest. Maybe Dino will ask for it to be reviewed? Who knows.

SU runs one of the biggest politically correct nanny states that I've ever seen. I'm not sure why that's not valid, yes a kid's health is of utmost importance, so is treating him the same way 99.9% of neurologists who are specialized in their field do to other student athletes. We don't, we have our own protocol being administered by a GP and if you don't think that comes from the same brain trust who turned SU into PCU then you're crazy.

VALID TO THE POINT OF MY POST... I never said I agree or didn't agree with the SU policy. I was only pointing out the poster was missing the point of why the policy was in place. Maybe the first time I said you missed my point should have led you to going back and reading it again. But apparently not.

Still not sure what's not valid to the point of your post. You said he's missing the point, I'm saying the point is that we run one of the worst PCU institutions in the county and in doing so have implemented a policy that apparently only we adhere to. I get it's about protecting kids, but there's going to far which usually happens when people err on the side of political correctness. I seem to have angered a few here, not sure why. We run a protocol that by all accounts appears to be going to far. Maybe we are trend setters, but history seems to point out that instead of leading the pack, we just stand off the to side thinking we are leading, problem is there's no followers.
