I wonder what our stats would be like without the Third Quarter of the WMU game.

strange that they gained as much as FSU/Wagner did their whole games. a crappy 150 yd quarter instead of an awful 250 moves us to top 60. top 60 makes us competitive.. every game we stay in that 350-400 range we can win. if we play the 2nd half like the first we move into top 30 range.. too many issues for that i think to be possible.

By a quick look at the PBP, WMU had about 249 yards in the 3rd quarter.

I'm glad that 3rd quarter happened. Put a lot of things into perspective. Never lay off the gas.
Why are we all so convinced the 3rd quarter was just a fluke mental lapse? The defense continues to give up a couple big plays every game sans anemic FSU. It’s part of their DNA. I’d expect Clemson to break off a couple quick-hitting TDs because someone takes a bad angle or blows an assignment. I just hope our offense can move the chains enough and cover the spread. I’d feel much better about our chances if we had Irv and Ish but we don’t. Let’s come out of this game with people thinking we’re on the way back. Lose respectably, stay healthy, get to 6-1 and we’ll be ranked again.

I’m more afraid our pedestrian receivers will get shut down, herbstriet will be mocking us, and the book will be out on how to neuter the offense.

Over at tigernet they think we haven't played a good defense yet.

FSU's D is #17 in S&P+...

Actually on tigernet they are obsessed with the news of Bryant's transfer, they have 1 post in 2 pages that even mention us. Good to be at the top I guess

I'd like to see the team be obsessed with Bryant leaving until Sunday.
