Wouldn't we be screaming that Cal was cheating again?

What will be the national perception if Fab comes back and we resume our previous form, and make a deep run? Will people discount it because the school pulled some (alleged) strings to re-instate him?

Kinda hard to compare since there are constant questions (fair or not) surrounding Cal and his practices.

That said, people would be upset. And people will be upset if it happens that way. Just how it goes.

Cal has a nice thing going. He recruits a bunch of one and done players that only have to take freshmen and remedial classes for the first semester, then find 2 or 3 easy classes during the second semester to stay enrolled in school and maintain a 2.0. Then they drop out of college and turn pro, and the college drop outs don't count against his APR because they left on "good academic standing".

No one really knows the nature of Melo's academic situation, and everything anyone might think at this point is pure speculation.
