If bowl games are exhibitions let kids who redshirt play in the games

It would be a reward for a kid RSing the entire year and if top kids are going to sit out(which is smart IMO) then letting the kids who have RSed gives depth to teams.

What about in a one for one basis? You have one kid pass on playing you get to suit up one red shirt?

Good idea. Agree that playoff games don't get the option. I would also allow transfer players that have had to sit out the season. This whole idea could give non-playoff bowls some very different and interesting looks.

No kid is going to miss out on a National Championship...but you never know.
I do like the RS idea though, transfers maybe not as much.

This idea has already been floated, and will get voted on, giving a RS player x amount of games, if passed. Keeps his shirt.

I like that idea a lot but would prefer a true 5 to play 5 model with a 6th medical year granted if a player misses X games (15-20 games?) due to injury.

I really hope they pass it where they can play 4 games and bowl game while red shirting. It’s dumb that one play can ruin it.
