if hunt's out abandon all hope for this year but maybe that's ok

I feel like I should slap you for insulting AJ like that.
oh come on. I picked a comparable based on what I read about long. Who does he compare to?

I don't know. I was, you know, kidding, because I would describe the Nunes era as "enduring" the Nunes era.

Austin Wilson is ready. He came in and won the game against Nova , that alone should give him the starting nod as that was baptism by fire. Pound AAM , change it up with Gully , GMo and Erv ,draw them into the box and then let's see if Wilson has an arm.
In what world did he come in and win that game? In fact I don't think he contributed to a single point that game, Riley Dixon was who won the game and Hunt had led the team to the other points before that. He's not ready by any stretch of the imagination.

I hope McFukit stays on and becomes our recruiting coordinator/WR coach...but he is likely gone at the end of the season.

I bet we start AJ Long...

Do you think McDonald will get an offer from another P5 school?

While I agree that he didn't "lead" us to victory at all, he did direct the TD drive at the beginning of the third quarter, were AAM scored.

Your opinion is your opinion. You're entitled - but I just have to ask why you feel this way?

He's not a good passer. Lots of mechanics to work out. And we've been down this road before, trying to make non-natural QB passers serviceable.

I own that it is a projection concern. But I believe that Long is a comparable runner [maybe not quite as good], but is a more advanced thrower. Hence, why I suggested that I'm more bully about his long term potential as a QB.

Would love to be wrong, and have Edourad end up being the second coming.

Sounds about where we are now sadly

I will say two things about Long:

1) He's definitely got the kind of swagger that you want from your QB, not sure Edouard has the same confidence.

2) His last name is easier to remember how to spell than Edouard's.

And your point is , Long is ready ?

Plus, we're guaranteed to go Long.

That made it 17-7 , which should have been enough , but John Robertson is one heck of a gamey QB.

My point is that I don't see AJ as a long term QB here, I think Edouard would pass him once he gets here. Since a redshirt year means nothing because of that, throw him in there and see if he provides a spark. Wilson doesn't bring enough to the table, IMO.

My eye has been on 2015 the whole time. I didn't think we'd have to throw away 2014 to get there, but *** it. Sometimes things don't go according to plan.

Long is a gamer. Ask Doug Flutie, Drew Brees, or Russell Wilson.

Why did Wilson get passed over? That makes no sense. I feel like with an opp he might be pretty good. He can really spin it.

Also can I get a comparable on long? Nunes?

Hey, I hope I'm wrong. I'm just worried that the first time he gets buried by a 6'5'' 275lb DT he's not getting back up. But that's my point, see what happens and if he succeeds then I'll be pumped.
